Scalps - The commander of a Texan fort in the Civil War refuses to surrender to the Northerners, and tries to buy the local Indian tribe chief's daughter. The sage man refuses, and the Southerners massacre the tribe and abduct the young squaw anyway. The noble squaw manages to escape, and hides out with a rough rancher, who dislikes Indians, but hates the Southerners more. The odd couple joins forces, and tactics, to exert ultimate vengeance on the men at the fort. Scalps (1987) Director: Claudio Fragasso, Bruno Mattei Writers: Italo Gasperini(story), Richard Harrison(story), Bruno Mattei(screenplay) Stars: Vassili Karis, Mapi Galán, Alberto Farnese Genre: Western, Action, Drama Country: Italy, Spain Language: English Release Date: 14 October 1987 (France) Filming Location: Incir De Paolis Studios, Rome, Lazio, Italy Reviews: "Not a bad one for Mattei. Released at the same time with White Apache, and according to rumors with more input by Mattei (who apparently directed most of this film) than on White Apache. Lots of bad dialogue of course, but that was more or less expected. The music was for certain parts quite good, in the vein of older spaghettis but during other parts awful with more modern (whatever) flavor. The film was certainly watchable, much better than, for instance, Zombi 3 which he "Co-directed" when Fulci was away for one or other reason. Mattei also tried here for some parts (usually in vein, though) to create this into a some kind of 'drama' film which was not so successful. I have no idea about which version is uncut and which one is not, the version I saw was on Greek video. If you find this one somewhere, check it out. It's not that bad as it is rumored to be (depending on your tastes, of course). I enjoyed it anyway." - written by "thomas-sundback" on IMDb.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) Scalps Brazil Escalpo Finland Päänahat France Scalps Greece Scalps Hungary Véres skalpok Italy Scalps Portugal Yarin, a Índia Vingadora Soviet Union (Russian title) Скальпы Spain (promotional title) ¡Scalps! There's a Noose Waiting for You Trinity! - Trinity is an ex-gunslinger desperately wanting to be forgiven and accepted by his family that he abandoned years earlier. There's a Noose Waiting for You Trinity! (1972) Director: Alfonso Balcázar (as George Martin) Writers: Alfonso Balcázar (story), Giovanni Simonelli (screenplay) (as G. Simonelli) Stars: George Martin, Marina Malfatti, Klaus Kinski Country: Spain, Italy Language: English Release Date: December 14, 1972 (Italy) Also Known As: A Noose Is Waiting for You Trinity Filming Locations: Elios Film, Rome, Lazio, Italy Storyline: Trinity is an ex-gunslinger desperately wanting to be forgiven and accepted by his family that he abandoned years earlier. Unfortunately for him, a ruthless bounty hunter is on his trail. The bounty hunter tracks Trinity down and forces him to return to his violent ways in order to protect himself and his family. Reviews: "This was a hoot. Though I must say Kinski and Morricone saved this from total mediocrity. The plot is atypical spaghetti. It's more of a shane stoyline with a bounty hunter(Kinski) after shane as an added perk to the plot. George Martin is pretty good though and the baddies are really bad. Yes there is bad dubbing unintentionally funny lines and everything you expect from the genre but Morricone's harmonica theme is genuinely touching and raises the film everytime it underscores a scene, especially effective at the end. This movie would work without it but it would be nothing special. As for Kinski. This is unquestionably one of his best roles in a western. Everytime he's on screen is pure magic, even with the dubbing. And the ending to the movie is quite touching though it wouldn't be half as good without the actions of . . . who else KINSKI!! There is a German PAL dvd of this film. It's hard to find but if you do grab it." Written by ster2001 via IMDb.com "A very moving film, strongly influenced by Shane. the hero (played by George Martin) returns to his family 6 years after avenging his brother's murder. he agrees to put down his guns and become a rancher. meanwhile, some baddies (very bad) threaten his family and the local ranchers. Klaus Kinski, as a bounty hunter stalks the hero to claim a $5,000 reward. great performances and a powerful ending. a beautiful Morricone score. apparently, only available in DVD in a Best Entertainment German Pal 0 release (it played on my DVD player)." Written by tomdowse via IMDb.com "George Martin returns to his family's farm after six years on the run for killing his brother's murderer. He makes a vow to his wife, never to use violence again, but runs afoul of vicious land-grabbers and ruthless bounty hunter Klaus Kinski. Billed on some prints as a bogus Trinity sequel, this is actually a remake of a previous spaghetti western, Clint The Stranger, also starring Martin in an identical role with some footage from the previous film used as a flashback. Both films are about on par, though if watching both, the viewer is liable to decide for his or herself which one is better." Apache Fury - A judge encounters a man (Frank Latimore) he once wronged after an Apache attack. The attack forces him, his fiancée and their fellow stagecoach passengers to take refuge at a rest stop. Apache Fury (1964) Director: José María Elorrieta (as Joe Lacy) Writers: José María Elorrieta (as Joseph De Lacy), Eduardo Guzmán (novel) (as Edward Goodman) Stars: Frank Latimore, Nuria Torray, Jesús Puente Genre: Western Country: Spain, Italy Language: English Release Date: 1 October 1964 (Spain) Also Known As: Fury of the Apaches Filming Locations: Aranjuez, Madrid, Spain Storyline: A judge encounters a man (Frank Latimore) he once wronged after an Apache attack. The attack forces him, his fiancée and their fellow stagecoach passengers to take refuge at a rest stop. Written on on rottentomatoes.com Reviews: "FURY OF THE APACHES is an early spaghetti western made before the stratospheric success of Sergio Leone's A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS, and thus it has little in common with the Eastwood film. Instead it feels very much like an updating of the John Ford classic STAGECOACH mixed with Howard Hawks' RIO BRAVO, featuring a bunch of characters fending off a frenzied mob of Apache Indians who are more than a little upset about the sudden death of their leader at the hands of one of the group. On paper, FURY OF THE APACHES sounds decent enough although it's the type of film let down by the lack of budget and expertise that makes it a lacklustre experience throughout. It's a noisy production, sure, with a lot of action scenes, but fewer of them are entertaining than you'd expect and the end result is all too familiar and much the same as any number of Ameircan B-movie westerns. The only time this film really rises above the norm is during a speeding stagecoach chase which is well staged given the constraints." Written by Leofwine_draca on IMDb.com "Way back in 1939 a short story, Stage Station, was written by legendary western writer, Ernest Haycox, of Union Pacific & Stagecoach fame. This story was used at least twice by Hollywood, Apache Trail (1942) & Apache War Smoke (1952). Now I know very little about Eduardo Guzmán, (aka Edward Goodman) who is credited with writing the novel that this movie is supposedly based on, but I can sure as hell spot the same story when it is used frequently. Apache Trail & Apache War Smoke both credit the writing honours to Ernest Haycox, Apache Fury makes no mention of him, which I find very strange as the story used is practically a carbon copy. A wagon train station is used as a sanctuary by a wagon that has come under Indian attack. The station master is known by some of the passengers and hanger-ons. The wagon is also carrying a large sum of money, which becomes the sole focus of a couple of no-goods. All the while the Indians have a very real reason for wanting one of the passengers, he mistakenly killed a chief of some friendly Indians. There are some minor differences from the Haycox story, but not many nor are they important parts of the plot. The genesis of this movie is very disappointing in my opinion." Free Western Movie: Death Is Sweet from the Soldier of God - A former sheriff, after being accused of a robbery and escaping from jail with a revolutionary bandit, seeks revenge for his brother and his family. Death Is Sweet from the Soldier of God (1972) Director: Roberto Mauri (as Robert Johnson) Writers: Roberto Mauri (story), Roberto Bianchi Montero (story) (as Roberto Montero) Stars: Brad Harris, José Torres, Maretta Procaccini Genre: Western Country: Italy Language: English Release Date: 2 April 1972 (Italy) Also Known As: Er säte den Tod Filming Locations: Incir De Paolis Studios, Rome, Lazio, Italy Storyline: A former sheriff, after being accused of a robbery and escaping from jail with a revolutionary bandit, seeks revenge for his brother and his family. Reviews: "Brad Harris had signed a contract for three westerns with a production company called Three Stars, but only two of the three movies were completed, Wanted Sabata and Arriva Durango, Paga o Muori. This third part (See Database Page) was produced by another company, and is said to be an assembly of re-edited scenes of the first two movies, with a couple of new scenes added (*1). The film is best know for a couple of great titles (in Italian and English) plus a wonderful poster design, also used for various releases of the movie on VHS and DVD. Biggest throwback: the scene depicted on the poster, is not in the movie. Harris is Durango (Django in some versions) and he’s a former sheriff falsely accused of a robbery. He ends up in jail with a guy called Spirito Santo, who was arrested for steeling money he needed for the revolution and his poor family at home in Mexico - at least that’s what he says (he also pretends to be one-eyed). The two are sprung out of jail by a mystery man and subsequently join a gang of Mexicans who are looking for the stolen strongbox: Durango to prove his innocence, Santo to collect money for the revolution. We also get a vengeance tale, with Durango looking for the man who killed his brother and his wife. As one might expect from an assembly movie, Death is Sweet ... doesn’t hang together. The vengeance tale is particularly stupid: Durango tracks down the killer and takes his revenge, but an earlier scene clearly showed that this man - played by Vassili Karis - was not responsible for the slayings; when he arrived on the spot, Durango’s relatives were already dead and he has been trying to eliminate Durango ever since, because he - Durango - would never believe that he was innocent. What nonsense! Is the movie worth tracking down? Harris is his usual self, steady as a rock and acting like one, but the patchwork seems to hurt Torres' performance: In Arriva Durango ... his hyperactive style worked well in combination with Harris' stoicism, but here his character has no consistency and his overzealous routines - invoking la madre de Dios every other minute or so - quickly become annoying. For completists only. But that poster is a killer." Written by Simon Gelten on spaghetti-western.net. Also Known As (AKA): (original title): Seminò morte... lo chiamavano il Castigo di Dio! Bud Spencer & Terence Hill Western Movie: All the Way Boys - A bush-flying duo crash-land in the heart of the Peruvian jungle where an unscrupulous speculator controls a precious emerald source and an entire mining community. Can they right the wrongs, and in the process, manage to make a profit? All the Way Boys (1972) Director: Giuseppe Colizzi Writers: Giuseppe Colizzi (screenplay), Barbara Alberti (screenplay), Amedeo Pagani (screenplay) Stars: Terence Hill, Bud Spencer, Reinhard Kolldehoff Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy Country: Italy Language: English Also Known As: Plane Crazy Release Date: December 22, 1972 (Italy) Synopsis: The "Trinity" crew makes another modern era film. Plata and Salud are pilots ditching aircraft for insurance money. They wind up crashing for real in the jungles of South America. The plot involves "Mr. Big", who is buying the diamonds from the miners for much too little, and has thugs who keep the price down. Of course, Plata and Salud side with the miners... Reviews: "I love these guys! Most their movies I saw as a child but even seeing them now I still consider them my all-time favorites & I can still watch them over & over & over without getting the least bit tired of them. "All The Way Boys" takes them away from the ole west but still carries the same great clean & fun humor these guys are known for. You will see LOTS of actors from previous/future Hill/Spencer films in this one. Lots of fun to watch & even the actors looked like they had a lot of fun filming it. I hope one day someone will have their full catalog of films released on DVD. Perhaps a box set?? Great movie with a very catchy soundtrack. On the site of the killing, a town, Gold Hill grows up, run by a group of businessmen. Years later, El Rojo, alias the last surviving Sorenson arrives, bringing the truth about the massacre, and revenge. Reviews: "Pretty predictable from the word go … or at least as soon as our leading citizens start getting threats via Indian arrow. The surprise here isn’t so much the plot, but some of the methods Sorenson uses to exact his vengeance. As for El Rojo, he’s referred to that precisely one time in this version of the film. And we never are really clued in about the back-story between Sorenson and Consuelo. Two moments you’re likely to remember: The appearance of a fast gun for hire named Black Bart who wears a mask over the lower half of his face to hide a horrific scar, and a rousing rendition of the song “To the West We Shall Go” by Nieves Navarro’s character." Spaghetti Western in Full Length: The Mercenary - A greedy Polish mercenary aids a mine worker and peasant girl as they lead a revolution against the oppressive Mexican Government, and are pursued by an American rival. The Mercenary (1968) Director: Sergio Corbucci Writers: Franco Solinas (story), Giorgio Arlorio (story) Stars: Franco Nero, Tony Musante, Franco Giacobini Genre: Comedy, Western Runtime: 1h 45min Country: Italy | Spain | USA Language: English | Italian | Spanish Filming Locations: Madrid, Spain Also Known As: Il mercenario (original title) Storyline: While a Mexican revolutionary lies low as a U.S. rodeo clown, the cynical Polish mercenary who tutored the idealistic peasant tells how he and a dedicated female radical fought for the soul of the guerrilla general Paco, as Mexicans threw off repressive government and all-powerful landowners in the 1910s. Tracked by the vengeful Curly, Paco liberates villages, but is tempted by social banditry's treasures, which Kowalski revels in. Reviews: I recently got hold of the Japanese DVD print via ebay. This is of really high quality and I was amazed that this film is not more widely known or appreciated. What a brilliant film. In many ways it is similar to Companeros and if you liked that wonderful film you will also love this. The story is somewhat far-fetched but is very enjoyable and fast paced in a 'boys own' way. The machine gun makes its familiar appearance. Franco Nero, as always, delivers a superb performance and Jack Palance gives a very good performance as a very unpleasant killer. The music is brilliant and the duel in the bullring is incomparable and is perfectly choreographed to the wonderful music. If you are interested in westerns you have to see this film. Written by washboard via IMDb.com "The second collaboration of Sergio Corbucci, the Italian Western's most important director besides Sergio Leone, and Franco Nero, one of the genre's greatest actors, after the ingenious "Django" from 1966, "Il Mercenario", a movie set in the time of the Mexican revolution, and therefore late for a Western, is a must-see for every fan of the genre. Sergei Kowalski (Franco Nero) gets hired by short-tempered revolutionary Paco Roman (Tony Musante), in order to help his squad of unexperienced rebels with their campaign for a free Mexico. While Paco is a crook, but also an idealist, becoming more and more idealistic after his troop is joined by beautiful and idealistic Columba, a woman whose father was a revolutionary , the Polish is a typical anti-hero, witty and cool and somehow sympathetic, but mainly concerned on his own benefit. The acting is great, specially Franco Nero as the Polish, and Jack Palance's performance as one of the villains. Another villain is played by Eduardo Fajardo, who played the villainous Major Jackson in Django. The score of this movie, composed by Ennio Morricone, is just brilliant (how couldn't it), the cinematography is great as well as the locations. My favorite film by Corbucci is still the incomparably brilliant "Il Grande Silenzio" ("aka. "The Great Silence") of 1968, "Django" of 1966 being my second-favorite due to its immense entertainment- and cult-value. Maybe not quite as brilliant as "Il Grande Silenzio" and not quite as influential as "Django", "Il Mercenario" is nonetheless an exceptional Spaghetti Western with a great sense of humor that I would recommend to everybody, not only genre fans. 9 out of 10!" Reviews: "until Mr. Tarantino recently included this film in his recent 'festival-of-classics', i thought only my family knew of it. i happened upon it on late-nite KTLA TV, and as my true San Diego mansion was 120 miles from LA, my 'hill-top' location, still allowed me to record it, on Beta-Max. i have seen this termed 'trash'. 'Shame, Shame, come back Shame! this, as 'Any Gun Can Play'('Kookie's best performance)is not your usual 'pasta-western'. no Leonie 'dark-side'--rather trenchant humor, and very-oddly, a rather strong link to modern physics. What??? the theme of 'perceptor-as-creator' is the 'base' for many scenes. those unaware of this line of 'quantum-physics' simply will see what sometimes appears as absurd, actually agrees with same. 'i pity the poor fool'--- i Love 16mm 'hand-held' photo-tech, and as both fixed, or 'hand-held', this unknown masterpiece blows-away the typical American camera-work. in fact, one may pause Any frame and observe a bit of Absolute Superb 'Modern-Impressionism', that should grace any Great museum---the colors, balance--Perfect. Captivating. This film-art 'nails' any cognizant viewer from opening scenes on-- 'Performance-wise'? one must remember this is 'dubbed' to English', so some lines may seem clumsy. yet the characters from the Mexican revolutionary, Russian thief. false Nun, etc. are brilliantly directed. Plot-wise? so it's the old 'gunslinger's-riches-hunt' formula? who cares? this one is Supreme, Breathtaking cinema work, for camera-alone. i was so taken with this, i spent +bucks to reach the 'hidden' producer. and i did. 1st he wanted to know how i found him, as the Italian 'IRS' was haunting him. then he informed me the 'rights' had been sold to an American co., seeking a flop as a tax-shelter--HA! sound like 'The Producers'? he also mentioned this film was a huge success in Europe and South America, yet ignored here, as Hollywood controls distribution." Sartana Will Pay (1970) Director: Giuliano Carnimeo Writers: Giovanni Simonelli, Roberto Gianviti Stars: Gianni Garko, Antonio Vilar, Daniela Giordano Genre: Western Country: Italy, Spain Language: English Also Known As: A Coffin from Sartana Release Date: October 8, 1970 (Italy) Filming Location: Cinecittà Studios, Cinecittà, Rome, Lazio, Italy Synopsis: After witnessing a brutal massacre, the legendary hero Sartana is ready to do some investigating. Almost everyone in the tiny town of Indian Creek seems eager to buy up the property left behind by the murder victims, and one of them could well be behind the killings. The sheriff himself is not above suspicion, so Sartana must uncover the culprit all on his own. Reviews: "Garko and Carnimeo cooperated in some good Italo-Westerns in the late 60s/early 70s, most remarkable is the "Sartana"-Series. This is definitely one of the best Sartana-Movies; tough, cynical and with a lot of humor, seasoned with all herbs of an excellent italo-western. The plot has some twists, good shoot-outs and a decent body count. The soundtrack's fine, good work done by Bruno Nicolai. The cast is standard with lot's of Italian b-movie heroes (ruffini, dell' acqua...) I had a lot of fun with this movie and it's worth watching it more than one time. Check out "Gli fumavano le Colt... lo chiamavano Camposanto",another good movie with Garko." - written by "zossen" on IMDb.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) Buon funerale amigos!... paga Sartana A Present for You, Amigo... Something Big - A man kidnaps the wife of a cavalry commander in order to exchange her for a Gatling gun that's being sold by a gun runner. Something big(1971): Director: Andrew V. McLaglen Writer: James Lee Barrett Stars: Dean Martin, Brian Keith, Carol White Genres: Comedy, Western Country: USA Language: English Filming Locations: Durango, Mexico Storyline: Joe Baker has a dream. He wants to do 'something big.' When he needs a Gatling gun to accomplish this, he seeks out a black marketeer. The price he wants for the gun? A woman! So Baker kidnaps a woman off of the stagecoach, only to find that she is the wife of the commandant of the local Cavalry detachment. Things get further complicated when a girl named Dover McBride shows up. She has come to force Baker to marry her and return east, as he promised to do four years earlier. Written by Alfred Jingle Review: While stationed in Thailand in 1972 during the Vietnam War, I had an opportunity to get a part-time job operating a movie projector at the base theater for the midnight show. One of the films I was fortunate to show was "Somthing Big", a rowdy, unpretentious western with a fun and talented cast headed by Dean Martin, Brian Keith, Albert Salmi and Honor Blackman. The film's strongest point is that it didn't take itself too seriously, yet still presented a fine array of subplots and character studies that nicely wove themselves together to a rousing finale. What has stuck out most in my mind for over the past 30+ years, however, was the movie's theme song. Like the film itself, the title song was a joyous and melodic tribute to the desire in everyone to reach for that star in the heavens, or that impossible dream. It is disappointing that the film never made it to VHS or DVD. If it ever shows up on cable TV, don't miss an opportunity to see this lost guilty pleasure. Western Movie in Full Length: Santee - A bounty hunter takes in the son of a man he killed. Santee (1973) Director: Gary Nelson Writers: Brand Bell, Thomas W. Blackburn (uncredited) Stars: Glenn Ford, Michael Burns, Dana Wynter Genre: Western Country: United States Language: English Release Date: September 1973 (United States) Filming Location: Cerro Pelon Movie Ranch - 5547 Highway 41, Galisteo, New Mexico, USA Synopsis: Jody Deakes joins up with his father after many years, only to discover that his dad is part of an outlaw gang on the run from a relentless bounty hunter named Santee. Jody is orphaned soon after Santee catches up to the gang, and follows Santee in hopes of taking vengeance for his father's death. Instead, however, Jody discovers that Santee is a good and loving man, tormented by the death of his young son at the hands of another outlaw gang. Santee and his wife take Jody in and a father-son relationship begins to grow. Then the gang that killed Santee's son shows up. Reviews: ""Santee" is a decent enough film, but it's "Jody" song that comes and goes throughout the movie is reason enough to deduct a point! The film begins with a really BAD family reunion. Jody, a 19 year- old guy, comes upon his father and three of his 'friends'. It seems that Jody barely knows his dad and was raised by his divorced mother. Well, wouldn't you know that the father and his men are on the run from the law! Soon, a bounty hunter, Santee (Glenn Ford), shows and quickly dispatches the guilty four men--leaving Jody a bit shocked to say the least! Jody is angry enough at Santee to kill...but inexplicably, Santee is nice to him and realizes he was not involved with his father's gang and their crimes. What follows is a bonding between Jody and Santee, as Santee takes him home with him and treats him decently. All this bromance, however, is short- lived, as the men who wronged Santee so long ago and set him on a life as a bounty hunter arrive in town--and they are really bad dudes! The film has a rather original plot and I enjoyed it. But 1970s god-awful music took away, somewhat, from my enjoyment. Still, despite this, it's worth your time. Plus, you get to see Jay Silverheels in a role much more interesting than playing Tonto to the Lone Ranger." - written by "planktonrules" on IMDb.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) Santee Brazil Santee - O Caçador de Recompensas Canada Santee(English) Canada Les trois flèches(French) Denmark Santee - den ensomme hævner Finland Santee - kuoleman kätyri Germany Santee - Der blutige Pfad der Rache(DVD Title) Greece Σαντύ, ο κυνηγός των παρανόμων Italy Vivo quanto basta per ammazzarti Mexico Santee el vengador Romania Santee Spain Tres flechas Sweden Santee - Prisjägaren(Video Title) United Kingdom Santee United States Santee West Germany Santee - Der Einzelgänger ✘ Website: https://www.grjngo.com FOLLOW US! ✘ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/grjngo_westernmovies ✘ Twitter - https://twitter.com/Grjngo_com SUPPORT US! ✘ Membership - https://bit.ly/2V63h4q ✘ Merchandise - https://bit.ly/2FLB0sV MORE WESTERN MOVIES! ► Classics: https://bit.ly/2CBLt8c ► Spaghetti Western: https://bit.ly/2CyCe8I ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/2EOOfIH #westernmovies #freemovies #westernmovie COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. Full Length Spaghetti Western starring Lola Falana: Black Tigress - Lola, a saloon dancer arrives in the town of Sant'Anna with some other dancers. The town is however terrorized by El Diablo an outlaw who wants to sell the surrounding land to the railroad company. Lola helps the colonists rebel together with Rod, a youth who has fallen in love with her. Black Tigress (1967) Director: Siro Marcellini Writers: Luigi Angelo (story), Lamberto Antonelli Stars: Lola Falana, Peter Martell, Germán Cobos Genre: Action, Drama, Musical Country: Italy Language: English Release Date: 22 October 1967 (Italy) Also Known As: Lola kolt Filming Locations: Elios Studios, Rome, Lazio, Italy Storyline: Lola, a saloon dancer arrives in the town of Sant'Anna with some other dancers. The town is however terrorized by El Diablo an outlaw who wants to sell the surrounding land to the railroad company. Lola helps the colonists rebel together with Rod, a youth who has fallen in love with her. Reviews: "Sexy showgirl Lola Colt fights off the advances of the evil El Diablo, while plotting with handsome medical student Peter Martell to free the town and a group of hostages from his clutches. An Italian western with a black female protagonist (!), this vehicle for pop-star Lola Falana is a bit more entertaining than it seems like it would be. It's a little contrived, though fairly earnest and surprisingly straight-faced, playing more like a nineteen-forties B-picture than a nineteen-sixties spaghetti western, at least until Lola straps on some six-shooters for a violent climax. A compact running time helps too. An interracial romance between Lola and Martell, as well as a kiss between Lola and El Diablo appear to have been scrubbed from the English language version." Written by FightingWesterner on IMDb.com "Lola Colt" was made during the height of the spaghetti western craze in Italy, though it only got theatrically released in the United States nine years later, where it was marketed as a blaxploitation flick. I am sure that African Americans who went to see this movie were disappointed. To be sure, actress Lola Falana looks both pretty and comfortable in her surroundings. Also, there is refreshingly no reference to her race at any point in the movie (though this fact may make much of this movie hard to swallow to some in the audience.) However, Falana isn't given much to do for the most part. In fact, she more or less becomes a supporting character instead of a true lead character. She eventually straps on some guns for the climax, a climax that gives the movie some much needed action after being so talky and uneventful before then. And after the climax, the movie comes to a near halt again, and we have to wait a considerable amount of time before the movie finally comes to an end. Die hard fans of spaghetti westerns might find a little interest in this movie both for its unusual set-up and how it pretty much completely botches this set-up. For others, well, there are a lot better spaghetti westerns out there." God's Gun - A priest and his twin brother take turns defending a small town from the vicious Clayton gang. God's Gun (1976) Director: Gianfranco Parolini Writers: John Fonseca, Gianfranco Parolini Stars: Lee Van Cleef, Jack Palance, Richard Boone Genre: Western Country: Italy, Israel Language: English Release Date: 1976 (Italy) Filming Location: Israel Synopsis: Intent on murder, the vicious cut-throats of the pitiless bandit, Sam Clayton, ride into dusty Juno City, rob the bank, and kill the pacifistic man of religion, Father John, in front of the church. As the semi-inebriated sheriff decides not to take action, the priest's young protégé, Johnny, gambles with death to find the deceased's twin brother, Lewis, in Mexico, and talk him into settling the score. Can Diamante Lobo, the feared ex-bounty hunter, right a wrong, and in the process, rid the town of Clayton's jackals? Reviews: "I thought this was an excellent picture. Lee Van Cleef does an excellent job playing the role of Father John and the role of Lewis. Jack Palace was excellent in his role as Sam Clayton. The reason I bought this movie was Sybil Danning. You didn't see much of Sybil Danning body in this because it was a western but, she was excellent in her role as Jenny the owner of the saloon. Her talents as an actress really shined in this picture. So, with that in mind, and because this movie kept my interest through the entire picture I'm giving this movie 10 weasels stars because of Sybil Danning and the level of action , adventure and drama this movie had from beginning to end. Italian Western Comedy published in 1967 satrring Rik Van Nutter: Dynamite Joe - In order to put an end to the numerous ambushes on the gold transports which are a real menace to the finances of the American government, the agent Joe Ford, called Dynamite Joe due to his liking for explosives, is entrusted with controlling the next transfer. Dynamite Joe (1967) Director: Antonio Margheriti Writers: María del Carmen Martínez Román, María del Carmen Martínez Román Stars: Rik Van Nutter, Halina Zalewska, Merce Castro Genre: Western, Comedy Country: Italy, Spain Language: English Release Date: 30 November 1972 Also Known As: Dynamite Joe Filming Locations: Desierto de Tabernas, Almería, Andalucía, Spain Storyline: In order to put an end to the numerous ambushes on the gold transports which are a real menace to the finances of the American government, the agent Joe Ford, called Dynamite Joe due to his liking for explosives, is entrusted with controlling the next transfer. Reviews: "Anyone expecting another grim, operatic Italian revenge oater can skip Dynamite Joe. Rik van Nutter is an Eastwood lookalike from a few angles and Antonio Margheriti plays that up in the first few minutes before Joe goes back to a Robert Conrad/Wild Wild West style hero who's a specialist with explosives. van Nutter does an all around good job as a womanizing, easygoing troubleshooter. Hired to transport a gold shipment, Joe sets off huge explosions, romances two pretty girls, tangles with Mexican bandits and crooked American politicians. The cinematography is good, the music by Savina fits the tone of this wacky film and the action is fine, especially a stage coach Chase. There have been comedy westerns alla Italianni before such as Any Gun Can Play and straight westerns with some humor in spots but Dynamite Joe is total silly tongue in cheek slapstick which probably accounts for the heavy criticism." Written by jameselliot-1 on IMDb.com "Too much gold disappears during transports, so that the bank director hires an expert to guard the next one: Dynamite Joe (Rik Van Nutter)! Bandits and corrupt business-men are already making plans how to get rid of him, but Joe is prepared for many enemies with plenty of explosives. The first western movie by Antonio Margheriti is somewhat too pedestrian. In the first half of the movie, nothing much is happening except discussions with bank directors and watching the saloon dancers. Only in the middle of the movie, when the villain seriously starts to attack Dynamite Joe (who replies with, guess what, a very big explosion), the audience wakes up and gets the opportunity to watch a movie that is somewhat entertaining at least in the second half, when the gold transport is on the way. Rik Van Nutter (best known for playing Felix Leiter in the James Bond movie 'Thunderball') is a kind of hero that rather is at home in secret agent movies and appears to be miscast here." There are certain scenes and shots that literally made me and my fellow viewers gasp. Satisfying and well-rounded in the classic Western style but with some new twists. Western Movie in Full Length: A Long Ride from Hell - Mike Sturges and his younger brother, Roy, are sentenced to Yuma Penitentiary on a trumped-up train robbery charge. A Long Ride from Hell (1968) Director: Camillo Bazzoni (as Alex Burks) Writers: Gordon D. Shirreffs (from the novel "Judas Gun" by), Roberto Natale (screenplay) Stars: Steve Reeves, Wayde Preston, Guido Lollobrigida Country: Italy | Spain Language: English Release Date: 4 July 1969 Filming Locations: Elios Film Studios Storyline: In Arizona, the Sturges family owns a horse ranch. On the way to the market, their horses are stolen by masked outlaws who also kill the ranch hands. One cowpoke survives and sounds the alarm at the Sturges ranch. Owner Mike Sturges and his younger brother Roy, accompanied by their foreman Bobcat Bates go after the murderous horse thieves. Unfortunately, they will run into a gang of train robbers who wait in ambush for the next train carrying gold from the nearby mines. Bobcat is killed and brothers Mike and Roy shot and left for dead near the spot where the train is ambushed. The next day, the sheriff, his posse and Southern Pacific agents find Mike and Roy laying wounded at the scene of the train robbery. It's assumed they are members of the train robbing gang. Despite their pleas, the sheriff and his men beat Mike and Roy and arrest them. Later, they are sentenced to years of hard labor at the quarry belonging to Yuma Territorial Prison. In prison, the treatment of inmates is harsh. The sadistic guards' captain intentionally targets Mike and his frail brother Roy. With increasing doubts about Roy's chances of survival and Mike's chances at a pardon, it's decided to join a select group of inmates who are planning a prison break. Mike is dreaming of escaping in order to find the real train robbers and prove his innocence. He sorely misses his wife and ranch. But escaping Yuma Prison is no easy task and finding the train robbers will prove to be almost impossible since they are protected by a corrupt lawman who's on the take. Reviews: "Great movie that's been down played and over looked for years. Reeves was born to make Westerns. If you loved his "Sword and Sandal" films this one won't let you down. Cool action, great shoot outs and that classic build that put's his contemporaries to shame. On the other hand, if you like the Westerns that were coming out of Italy at the time, you've got to check this one out. Not going to go so far as to say he rivals Eastwood but Reeves is heads above most of the guys who tried their hands in the genre. Best of all it shows off Revee's horse riding skills that were only hinted to in the "Hercules" type films. Very hard to find on tape but well worth the effort once you get your hands on a copy." Free Western Movie: Man Called Gringo - Spaghetti Western - A group of outlaws take over a small frontier town and plan to stay awhile. Man Called Gringo (1965) Director: Roy Rowland Writers: Herbert Reinecker (screenplay) (as Alex Berg), Clarke Reynolds (screenplay) (as Clark Reynolds) Stars: Götz George, Alexandra Stewart, Helmut Schmid Genre: Western Country: West Germany | Spain Language: English Release Date: 19 March 1965 (West Germany) Also Known As: Ena pistoli gia ton Gringo Filming Locations: Colmenar Viejo, Madrid, Spain Storyline: A group of outlaws take over a small frontier town and plan to stay awhile. A gunslinger arrives and decides to help the citizens take their community back, but the gang refuses to give up easily. Reviews: "The movie gets Western action , shootouts , a love story , thrills and results to be quite entertaining . Set in 1895 , when a group of outlaws take over a small frontier town called Dakota . This is a tale of fear , greed and murder , set in a little town where happens a lot of incidents and shootouts . There bandits and rustlers plan to stay awhile, as they carry out robbing , assaults to win money at whatever cost by means of crime and terror . These outlaws called Reno (Sieghardt Rupp) and Gringo (Daniel Martín) are undercoveringly hired by a corrupt lawyer named Ken Denton (Helmut Schmid) . As the nasty gang (Rupp and Martin , both of them played in ¨For a fistful of dollars) assault a stagecoach and kill the mines owner called Walton (Pietro Tordi) , whose daughter to take the ownership of the transport company . Moreover , villainous Ken Denton wishes to take her business . In the meantime , a gunslinger called Mace Carson (Götz George) arrives and decides to help the citizens take their community back , as he is appointed sheriff but the band refuses to give up easily. Entertaining Chorizo/Schnitzel Western well produced by Alfons Carcasona with shoot'em up , action , violence , go riding , saloon brawls and amusement . It is a passable Western with a lot of surprises , thrills and including a love story between a drifter become a sheriff , Gotz George , and a beautiful owner , Alexandra Stewart . This film , realized in American Western style and no Spaghetti , contains Western-action , gun-play , fist-play and being enough amusing but mediocre . This Spanish/German western , probably won't be making too many top ten lists, but its an agreeable flick . It's a thrilling western that scrutinizes the greed and paranoia that afflicts an avaricious advocate at law played by Helmut Schmid , including breathtaking crossfire between protagonists when are besieged at a ranch against the enemies during the ending . It's a medium budget film with good actors , technicians , production values , pleasing results and turned to be shot entirely on location . Here filmmaker Roy Rowland delivers a decently-paced film , however he could be counted on to deliver solid "B" pictures which, at MGM , were often better than most other studios' . It's a stirring western with breathtaking gunfight between the brave protagonist Gotz George against the heartless Helmut Schmid and his nasty hoodlums : Daniel Martin and Rupp . Their dynamic together is also great and is what mostly keeps this movie going . Most players result to be too clean to compare with Sergio Leone's 'Man With No Name', so the result is nothing particular: too pretty for grit, too gritty for a traditional B and even a script co-written by Clark Reynolds can't do much . The film blends violence , thrills , high body-count and it's fast moving and exciting . [...]" Written by ma-cortes on IMDb.com. Free Western Movie: Bullets Don't Argue - Spaghetti Western - On his own wedding day, sheriff Pat Garrett must leave and try to arrest two bank robbers. Bullets Don't Argue (1964) Director: Mario Caiano (as Fred Wilson, Manfred Riegert, Mike Perkins) Writers: Gianni Castellano (screenplay) (as Franz Wieland, Franz Waller), Giuseppe Moccia (screenplay) (as Daniel Mooch, Donald Mooch) Stars: Rod Cameron, Ángel Aranda, Horst Frank Genre: Western Country: Italy | Spain | West Germany Language: English Release Date: 23 October 1964 (West Germany) Also Known As: Guns Don't Talk Filming Locations: Almería, Andalucía, Spain Storyline: On his own wedding day, sheriff Pat Garrett must leave and try to arrest two bank robbers. Reviews: "This is the film that Jolly Films of Rome and the other producing companies were putting their hopes and money into while tossing a bone to an unknown director named Sergio Leone, giving him film ends and minimal financing to shoot a movie called The Magnificent Stranger which featured a little-known American TV actor named Clint Eastwood. BULLETS DON'T ARGUE starred Rod Cameron, a bigger name, as Pat Garrett, with Horst Frank and Angel Aranda as Billy and George Clanton, thus mixing two old west legends into a very typically American spaghetti western. It kind of reminded me of the Budd Boetticher/Randolph Scott westerns of the late fifties, with Cameron as the stoic, older authority figure bringing in the wild, younger outlaws, and is pretty darned good, doing what it sets out to do. Oddly enough the highlight of Morricone's score is the song Lonesome Billy, about the elder of the outlaw brothers. BTW I think this is the film that did so poorly at the Italian box office that it prompted Variety to report that spaghetti westerns were dead, a week or so before the Leone/Eastwood film, retitled A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS, turned the film world on its ear." Written by heybhc on IMDb.com. "This film is a ripping off of American westerns. When I say ripping off I don't mean it is a poor film. It has the typical western elements: sheriffs and bandits. The role of the characters is well defined and at the end of the story the good will triumph on bad. Many films-loving people didn't understand why this film hadn't had success in Italy. First of all it was played by unknown actors, at least in Italy. Moreover, westerns were getting to be on the wane from 1965. But the main reason is that Italians were bored about classic westerns ("the stagecoach", "Rio Grande", "Cimarron", "saddle the wind" etc) they preferred action, shootings and a bit of violence. So the film "a fistful of dollars" released a few weeks later was a great success because it started a new era of making westerns as Italians preferred. This was one of the first westerns to have false names of director and actors so as to make it seem like an American film. Probably it was shot without recording the audio even if many actors spoke English. It was released in Italian and in English both dubbed. Rod Cameron dubbed himself." Savage Pampas - In the late 1800's, an army captain tries to tame the open plains of Argentina which are dominated by Indians and bandits. To help do this, the captain brings in a party of women to keep his soldiers happy. Reviews: "A sad and dismal almost final ending for Robert Taylor. His handsome looks faded by time, drink, and possible lung cancer, Robert Taylor presents a depressing lifeless figure in this 3rd rate South American produced Western. As a big fan of Taylor, I really don't want to remember him in this film. Of course, this is easy to do, as this movie has virtually been lost to time. It's clear that Robert Taylor didn't have his heart in the role of "Captain Martin". He looks weather beaten, tired, and just plain worn out. His build is just too thin and he appears in ill health. Even the feel of this whole movie is that of people "Beaten-Up" by the passing of time and hard living. Savage Pampas is "savage" to watch. There is little to like and it's not even a pleasant night at the movies. Savage Pampas is just a dismal footnote in the faltering career of Robert Taylor." Wanted - A local sheriff is unjustly accused of murder in a small town and forced to flee. Wanted (1967) Director: Giorgio Ferroni (as Calvin Jackson Padget) Writers: Augusto Finocchi (story), Massimiliano Capriccioli (story) Stars: Giuliano Gemma, Germán Cobos, Teresa Gimpera Country: Italy Language: Italian Release Date: 27 April 1967 (West Germany) Also Known As: Für drei lumpige Dollar Filming Locations: Cinecittà Studios, Cinecittà, Rome, Lazio, Italy Storyline: A local sheriff is unjustly accused of murder in a small town and forced to flee. He gets rid of his enemies one by one and tries to prove his innocence. Reviews: "As a teenager growing up in Somalia, my father brought me to see this movie (Wanted) for a treat. It was an open-air cinema, the Southern Cross was above us and as Padre Carmello gave refuge to Gary Ryan, the moon eclipsed. I was torn between looking at the screen and looking at the sky for I didn't want to miss the actions in the movie and the spectacular phenomenon of the eclipse. I am now in my late forties and my wife purchased the video from Cinecity in Netherlands on the Internet for my birthday. I couldn't believe my luck at being able to see this great movie again. The only difference is that this time is in English with Greek subtitles when before I watched it in Italian. In short, Gary Ryan, the new Sheriff of Greenfield falls for a trap and finds himself locked up under false testimony by Cheryl, the woman who owns the biggest hotel in Greenfield. Eventually he finds a way out to struggle against all odds for justice The other fascinating things about the movie are the names of the locations such as New Face Rock, Devils Cliff etc, inspired by nature. Here are some impressive lines: "What I think doesn't mean much unfortunately, proof and testimony are the only languages that the law recognizes" by Judge Anderson of Greenfield "Unreasonably risking your neck is against Gods law" by Padre Carmello. "He could be almost anywhere looking for some place to hide, alone hunted by the law and society-Wanted" by Martin Heywood (the Professional Gambler. "Pray your last, coward" by Fred Lloyd. Exciting story line, beautiful scenery, good camera works, especially the angles and moreover, the score is not short of Ennio Morricone. I would recommend to any Spaghetti fan." Written by aheibe on IMDb.com "In spite of what my fellow commenter states this is a fabulous Euro Western film by visionary director Giorgio Ferroni, who endows what might be an otherwise routine Oater about organized cattle rustling into a unique genre pastiche. Giuliano Gemma is well suited to the role of the lawman wrongly fingered for a crime he didn't commit seeking justice south of the border amongst the heavily made up extra actors who look about as authentic as Mexican peasants as the Little Rascals would. What makes the film work is Ferroni's visual prowess, combining sound stage footage with location work (some of which looks like Yugoslavia or maybe France) and a profound grasp of how to use color to make visual compositions that just happen to represent a cowboy movie. This one isn't quite a "Spaghetti Western", with a plot-heavy story rather than the usual posturing and exaggerated artiness of a Leone or Corbucci film. There are very few closeups of people's shoes, and the action sequences are more or less straightforward. The movie existed on the page before being visually realized. And for that reason I find it interesting; there is a surrealist bent going on here creating realities that are more "real" than a John Ford movie. What the movie may be lacking in terms of authenticity or visual flair is more than compensated for by a deliberate sense of composition. The movie looks like a storyboarded cartoon or graphic novel rather than a sprawling, dusty film epic, and the attention to character & set detail is refreshing. 7/10" Written by Squonkamatic on IMDb.com ···················································································· FOLLOW US! ✘ Twitter - https://twitter.com/Grjngo_com SUPPORT US! ✘ Merchandise - https://bit.ly/2FLB0sV MORE MOVIES! ► Classics: https://bit.ly/2CBLt8c ► Spaghetti Western: https://bit.ly/2CyCe8I ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/2EOOfIH #westernmovies #western #freewestern ···················································································· COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. Django Kill... if You Live , Shoot! - Various factions, feud over stolen gold in a surreal town. Full Length Free Western Movie. Django Kill... if You Live , Shoot! (1967): Director: Giulio Questi Writers: Franco Arcalli (story and screenplay), Giulio Questi (story and screenplay) Stars: Tomas Milian, Marilù Tolo, Piero Lullifeud over stolen gold in a surreal town. Runtime: 1h 52min* Genres: Horror, Western Country: Italy | Spain Language: Italian Release Date: 3 May 1967 (West Germany) Also Known As: Django - Leck Staub von meinem Colt Filming Locations: Elios Studios, Rome, Lazio, Italy Storyline: The Stranger, a half-breed bandit, is part of a band of thieves that steal a cargo of gold from a stagecoach. However, the Americans in the band betray him, and shoot all the Mexicans. The Stranger is not completely dead though, and crawls his way out of his shallow grave, continuing his pursuit of the gold, and exacting a bloody vengeance. Written by David Gibson Review: A fine, if somewhat bananas spaghetti western that cashes in on the Franco Nero/Sergio Corbucci Django of the previous year simply by including Django in the title. What we have here, though, is a marvelous, if somewhat slightly mysterious example of the genre. More interesting than Django is a B***ard, or whatever its called this week, Django Kill really pulls out all the stops in an endless parade of the macabre. From the curious opening scene with Tomas Milian crawling out of a grave to the brutal lynchings and gothic horror drenching of one of many villains in liquid gold- this is a real treat for genre fans. As with many similar movies there are no morals anywhere to be seen, characters turn up, rub their hands together, kill mercilessly and then are shot down or, in this case, killed by an exploding horse. I understand that there are many versions of this movie in existence, which is not surprising in the least. The version i have was shown on uk tv five or six years ago, so i suppose its incompleteness would be down to broadcast quality prints. Its still a real doozer though. It was directed by Giorgio Ferroni and starring Giuliano Gemma, Teresa Gimpera, and Nello Pazzafini. Free Western Movie, Full Length Cowboy Film, English: Gunfighter's Moon - A notorious gunfighter returns to his ex-wife, who only wants him to save her sheriff husband from being killed by gunmen out to free his condemned prisoner. Gunfighter's Moon: Director: Larry Ferguson Writer: Larry Ferguson Stars: Lance Henriksen, Kay Lenz, David McIlwraith Genre: Action, Drama, Romance, Western Runtime: 1h 35min Country: USA | Canada Language: English Filming Locations: British Columbia, Canada Storyline: Henrickson plays Frank Morgan, a notorious and feared gunfighter that has lived his life on the run. His face and eyes reveal a man that has been very much hardened by that life. We quickly learn, however, that there is still passion inside. Upon receiving a telegram from Linda, an old lover (played by Kay Lenz), requesting his presence, he abandons his woman, mounts his horse and rides to Linda without giving it a second thought. Upon arrival, he learns that Linda is now happily married to the owner of the local general store. The only vestige of her past that remains is a daughter, who Frank is surprised to learn is his. The daughter, of course, does not know about Frank. Linda, not wanting her to know that her father was a notorious gunfighter has given her a fictional father that died a hero's death at the First Battle of Bull Run. Frank quickly learns that Linda's reason for calling for him has nothing to do with romantic feelings. She wants him to protect her husband. It seems that there was an attempted bank robbery in town and the local sheriff and one of the robbers was killed. The other robber is in jail, waiting to be hanged, and Linda's husband has been appointed to the job of temporary sheriff. A cousin of the prisoner is set to be released from prison in a few days, and has made it clear that he will do whatever is necessary to get his kin out of jail. Linda's husband believes that the town will back him up when the showdown comes, but Linda knows better. She knows that he will be killed unless Frank agrees to help him. The story unfolds as Frank comes to terms with the fact that Linda and, for that matter, his newly discovered daughter are forever beyond his reach. He must decide whether to help the man that now has the woman he loves or to simply ride away. Review: I first saw this movie on a cable movie channel about six years ago. I only caught the last half of the movie, but I loved it so much I searched the TV listings and would watch it every time it came on. I would set my alarm for 2 or 3 AM, whenever it was scheduled, Finally I was asked what I wanted as a Christmas gift. The only thing I could think of was Gunfighter's Moon! When I received it, I was thrilled. I have watched it so many times that I have lost count. It never gets boring or old. It is a classic. Lance Henriksen was incredible as he portrayed Frank Morgan. I found myself "caring" for Morgan as he went through a range of emotions and conflicts. The only thing I am disappointed with is there was no sequel - I wish Gunfighter's Moon 2 had been considered and released. Maybe it will be. This movie has it all - love, struggles, gunfights, hard men and Lance Henriksen with an incredible smile. During a bungled bank robbery he picks up mute Ben Doyle as a hostage. The two become good friends, with Jack teaching Ben how to rob banks, while they plan Jack's last heist. Director: Simon Wincer Writer: Paul Hogan Stars: Paul Hogan, Cuba Gooding Jr., Beverly D'Angelo Country: USA | Australia Language: English Release Date: 2 June 1994 (Germany) Also Known As: Jack Blyskawica Filming Locations: Monument Valley, Arizona, USA Genres: Comedy | Western Plot: Paul Hogan plays Lightning Jack Kane, a long-sighted Australian outlaw in the American west, with his horse, Mate. After the rest of his g*ng is killed in a robbery-gone-wrong, Jack survives only to read of the events in the newspaper that he was nothing next to others. Annoyed at not being recognised as an outlaw, Jack attempts a robbery by himself, and ends up taking young mute Ben Doyle (Cuba Gooding Jr.) as a hostage. He later discovers that, tired of never having been treated with respect due to his disability, Ben wishes to join him. Jack attempts to teach Ben how to fire a gun and rob banks, with his first attempt at "on-the-job" training ending with Ben shooting himself in the foot. Across the course of the training, they pay occasional visits to saloons where Jack shows Ben the truth about adult life, including helping him to lose his virginity. However, the true nature of the saloon visits is for Jack to make contact with showgirl Lana Castel (Beverly D'Angelo), who, unbeknownst to Jack, is madly in love with him. When Ben's training is complete, the two learn of a bank which is said the entire town armed and ready to protect it. Jack sees this as the test he has been waiting for, and together they hatch a plan to rob it. Everything seems to be going smoothly and they are set to begin, until Jack discovers that a rival g*ng of outlaws is also planning to rob the bank. He is prepared to give up when Ben has a plan of his own. Ben silently tips off the townspeople, who quickly swarm the bank with the rival outlaws inside. The g*ng are arrested and the entire town celebrates, allowing Jack and Ben to slip unnoticed into the bank and swiftly strip it clean. Before leaving, Jack jumps into the celebrations, ensuring that his grinning face is seen at the top of the town photo. By the time the true robbery is discovered, the two - and Lana - are gone, with a bounty of thousands on their heads and all of America searching for them - the life that Jack had always wanted. User Reviews (IMDb.com): "This is a comedy set in the old west. Even if it's not your favorite movie genre, it's worth watching if for no reason than the amazing acting by Cuba Gooding, Jr. It takes a talented actor to give such a strong performance without a single word of dialogue. Paul Hogan is as adorable as ever, although the role of Lightning Jack Kane doesn't differ much from his Crocodile Mick Dundee character. The supporting cast nicely fills out the roster of characters. I recommend this film for its light, entertaining value." Written by cheryl-142-917207 "Beautiful work by Cuba Gooding, Jr. in this Western comedy with beloved Aussie hero (who also directs). All heart, but includes the necessary sweaty grimy sinister bad guys and violence. Lots of horses. (Great film to work for as a wrangler.) Also the gorgeous witty professional women. And Native American medicine. Good as a break from the daily grind." Free Western Movie in Full Length: Deadwood '76 (1965): A young drifter is mistaken for Billy the Kid. The consequences prove deadly. Director: James Landis Writers: Arch Hall Sr. (screenplay) (as Arch Hall), James Landis Stars: Arch Hall Jr., Jack Lester, La Donna Cottier User Reviews: Hall and son provide us this time with an earnest effort towards legitimate film making. Hall Jr. is the youngster mistaken for Billy the Kid-and shows glimpses(as he did in the "Sadist")of real acting ability. Unfortunately, this one comes along about a decade too late to ride the crest of popularity that low-budget westerns once enjoyed. Sadly(?) this was Arch Hall Jr.'s screen Swan Song. After Owen gives Lily $500 to help care for the baby, her brothers Hub (John Ireland) and Dick (Hugh O'Brian) believe that he is the guilty party, but they are unaware that Owen has done this on Lee's behalf. The brothers try to beat up Owen and he lodges a complaint against them. Sentenced to a week in jail, they vow to get even as soon as they're out. When Arch chides Lee for overdrawing his bank account by withdrawing $500 in gold, Jen realizes that Lee fathered Lily's baby. She confronts him and Lee tries to lie his way out. She decides to leave him but is persuaded by Owen and Arch to stay. Jen locks Lee out of their bedroom. He gets drunk, mistakenly believing she and Owen are carrying on behind his back. He schemes to get rid of Owen and make a fortune at the same time by conspiring with Hub and Dick to ambush Owen during the spring cattle roundup. He persuades Owen to ride in with him to stop the sale, but in fact he lures Owen into a trap. Hub and Dick, waiting in ambush, wound Owen as Lee casually rides away. In the ensuing gunfight, Owen Kills Dick. Hearing shots, a group of trailhands ride to Owen's rescue. They chase down and shoot Hub.
